OK, so it’s not quite the $90m lottery prize. Did you win that? Me neither. However. Sometimes, I get sent things. For free. Without asking. Admittedly, not as many things as I was sent when I edited a magazine. Back then? Things fell from the sky. Recently, companies and people have been contacting me wanting me to give stuff away to Mamamia readers. That would be you. So here goes…….

UPDATE: WINNERS ANNOUNCED AFTER THE JUMP

So many responses! The Drieyes guys are so thrilled with the response, they’ve decided to give away three and I’m tossing in mine too because Coco has somehow miraculously come to terms with the hair washing thing and has stopped screaming. Also, if you didn’t win but would like to buy a Drieyes from the website , they are offering the first 50 readers a 20 % refund on the purchase price if you type ‘mamamia’ in the special notes section.

Winners of Drieyes are: Angie, Shell, Pip and Sascha. Please email here to organise your prizes to be sent you.

The winners of the Full Belly books are: Amy, Mare, Another Rebecca, Janelle and Laura. If that’s you, please email here to organise your books to be sent to you!

Thanks everyone – more giveaways soon!

The first is called a Drieyes which is looks like a space alien but is actually a plastic visor with two knobbly handles that your child holds above their forehead in the bath so you can wash their hair WITHOUT THEM SCREAMING AS IF YOU ARE PULLING THEIR HAIR FROM THEIR HEAD. This is what it looks like and this is how it works (FYI publicity shot, not Coco). Familiar? Anyone? Just my daughter? So I tried it and it was heaven and it also doubles as a chew-toy for Remy who thinks it’s excellent fun.

The next thing I have to give away are 5 copies of this book:

According to the blurb:

Your belly grows, your mind slows, and your urge to bake cakes is insatiable. No question you are pregnant!

In pregnancy, there a physical and emotional changes. There are wonders at the baby you are growing. And worries about birth and beyond. Jodie Benveniste, psychologist, founder of Parent Wellbeing, and mother of two, helps you enjoy the wonders , and calm the worries. Her reflections and gentle affirmations comfort and inspire so you can bake the cake and eat it too! From the author of Little Bundle: Comfort and inspiration for new parents comes a book to reassure parents-to-be.

There will be more non-parenting giveaways to come, I thought I’d see how this goes first. How it works is that you just leave as many comments as you like, saying which you’d like and then at the end of the week I’ll do an update ON THIS POST announcing winners and giving further instructions. SO DON’T FORGET TO CHECK BACK ON THE WEEKEND TO SEE IF YOU WON. OK?
