There was once “The Dress”, then there was “ The Bag “. And once again, we’re divided by an optical illusion.

The internet is currently losing its mind over a photo of a pair of shiny legs.

Or are they?

When Twitter user @KingKayden re-posted a photo of two bare legs along with the question,”Are these legs shiny and oily or are they legs with white paint on them?” he probably didn’t understand the shit-storm he was about to unleash.

The legs are in fact covered in white paint.

According to Insider,the legs belong Instagram user Hunter Culverhouse who first posted the image on Instagram in September.

Culverhouse tells Insider that the optical illusion effect was unintentional. He says he “had some white paint left on my brush and put random lines on my legs, turned out to be a completely confusing picture for everyone on the internet.”

So, there you have it, proof that it’s paint. But this is the internet, so the argument lives on.
