There’s a regular woman in New York called Beyoncé — and she’s just shared her struggle with living with such a famous moniker.
Over the weekend, a street photographer Brandon Stanton for Humans of New York (HONY) stumbled upon Beyoncé, who divulged that she hates her name.
But this is not the Queen Bey we all know and love. It turns out there is another person in the world with this super famous moniker: a New York-based high school student.
“Sometimes I hate my name because it always draws attention to me, and I’m not a very social person. My family moved this year from Pennsylvania. I was so scared the first day of school that someone would notice me,” regular-Beyoncé told HONY.
“When the teacher started calling attendance, I got really nervous, because every time people learn my name is Beyoncé, somebody starts singing ‘Single Ladies.’ And some did, of course. But the second day of school wasn’t too bad. Because everyone knew my name.”
The greatest surprise was not really that someone was called Beyoncé, though — it was the massive response from other people with celebrity names.

Yep, the Facebeook comments section on the post included some absolute gems.
So with a Kelly Rowland and a Beyoncé locked down… it can only be a matter of time before a Michelle Williams appears in the comments thread to re-create Destiny’s Child, right? At least, that’s what we’re hoping.
