GOOD NEWS: Hugh Jackman is bringing his world tour to Australia this year.

 

Good news, Hugh Jackman fans.

The Greatest Showman star is bringing his The Man. The Music. The Show. tour to Australia this year.

After playing nearly 50 shows across Europe and North America, the Australian actor will head back down under to perform songs from the record-smashing soundtrack for The Greatest Showman.

Alongside songs from The Greatest Showman, the 50-year-old will also perform songs from Les Miserables.

The tour will also potentially include songs from the Tony Award-winning performers turn in the Broadway production of The Boy from Oz.

The arena tour, which will visit Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane, will also feature special guests.

The Australian shows on the tour will feature special guest Keala Seattle, who co-stared in The Greatest Showman alongside Jackman as bearded lady Lettie Lutz.

It’s believed Robbie Williams will join Jackman at some point during his run of shows in Europe.

The exciting announcement comes just days after a sequel to musical The Greatest Showman was announced.

Speaking to The Sun, The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey admitted that work on a sequel to the movie has begun.

“When a movie becomes as big a success as this, it’s only natural there is demand for a sequel,” he said.

“So those discussions have started and we are working on one right now.”

Pre-sale tickets for tour go on sale at various times on Thursday February 28 while the general sale will begin on Thursday March 7.
