I’m trying to make up my mind how I feel about this one. Help me. I’ve said before it makes me uncomfortable how celebrities shave off little pieces – and sometimes big ones – of their lives, and their children’s lives for money. Hello Larry Birkhead. Hello Family Spears.

The word is that Angelina and Brad are negotiating to sell the story of their pregnancy to raise money for charity. Natch. Somehow, that sits OK with me. But what when the only charity that benefits is the already-rich celebrity? Like Christina Aguliera who sold pix of her new son Max to People magazine for US$2m. It was a US-deal only which freed her to negotiate seperate, lucrative deals with Hello in the UK and another magazine in Australia, worth at least another mil (you can read how the deal went down here).

If that isn’t icky enough, part of the negotiations were allegedly that the photos were not to appear in the same issue as any photos of Nicole Ritchie’s baby. X-tina wanted all the attention focused squarely on her. It also grates on me the way these photos always show the mother looking perfect because she’s had a team of 30 working on her for seven hours and then the photos are retouched up the wazoo anyway.

Another pic after the jump. For free.
