Heather Maltman had the perfect response to an insulting commenter.

Former reality TV star turned radio host Heather Maltman doesn’t have much time for those who bring negative energy into her space and onto her social media feeds.

On Saturday morning, the 29-year-old delivered the perfect response to an insulting commenter, giving a masterclass in handling abuse when it saturates our digital realm.

Underneath an image Maltman posted of herself at Flickerfest Short Film Festival,
one commenter wrote, “Why would you post this? Yuk [sic].”

Unfazed and self-assured, Maltman was graceful in her reply.

“Hi Liam. Lots of love to you mate. Sorry if you’re having a bad day. I’m not perfect and I don’t look perfect. Happy new year. I’ll be at Bills in Bondi if you’d like to say that to me in person,” she wrote back.

Other fans were quick in their praise of Maltman’s response and in dismay at the insult the landed itself on her photo.

"You look fab! How pathetic are keyboard warriors," one user wrote.

"You handled that like a BOSS . So proud of you and your journey," another wrote.

It's been an impressive few years for the radio host since she willingly thrust herself into the limelight via The Bachelor franchise.

After failing to capture the heart of former Bachelor Sam Wood in 2015, Maltman appeared on Studio 10, The Project, I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here as well as hosting the national Summer Breakfast radio show on the HIT network with Osher Gunsberg in 2016.

Now, she is a co-host on Sea FM's breakfast radio show on the Gold Coast alongside Dan Anstey and former rugby league player, Ben Hannant.
