So, what did you do this weekend?
Oh, never mind. It’s not important. Because Hamish Blake and his chubby-cheeked two-year-old son Sonny had the weekend we all wish we had.
You might recall that last Friday, the population of the East Coast of Australia were told to brace themselves for wild weather. And wild weather it was.
It was a truly awful weekend, leaving most of us with only one desire: to lay in bed and watch hours upon hours of TV. Maybe catch up on Game of Thrones? Or get into a new series like The Girlfriend Experience? Or hide from society’s judgement and watch
new episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians
very serious documentaries about humanitarian issues. But if you’re anything like me, your weekend was rudely interrupted by social engagements, and various instances of having to be “adult”.
Well, that wasn’t the case for Hamish and Sonny. Yesterday, Hamish shared a photo of the two of them in (a cozy-looking) bed.
STOP. IT. Why wasn’t I invited? I have literally never felt like doing something MORE than watching Breaking Bad with Sonny Blake. “Huge rainy weekend watching every Ep of Breaking Bad,” Hamish captioned the image. “The shootout in the desert gets Sonny every time.” I’m not saying your weekend sucked, but if it wasn’t spent in bed looking at a screen with this level of intensity, then it was a complete and utter waste.
How could Walt do that, Dad? Image via Instagram: @hamishblakeshotz.
Despite the fact that Hamish Blake literally makes a career out of being funny, some Instagram users thought he was completely serious about how he spent his weekend. "What the hell isn't that really violent for a two year old?" wrote one commenter. No, no.
Breaking Badis the perfect show to watch with your toddler. It's never too early to learn about meth, amirite?! Other followers were less interested in what Sonny was watching, and more interested in his... cuteness. "Goals," "Most adorable child ever," and "I want him, I want Sonny" were among the enthusiastic comments left by Sonny's adoring fan base. While it can probably be assumed that Hamish and Sonny were actually watching
The Wiggles,or another more age-appropriate program, my sentiment still stands: these two had the weekend of my dreams.
Have a look through some of Sonny's best moments. Our favourite Sonny moments.
