Warning: Do Not Pick a Fight With your Ex-Partner's new Partner

Halle Berry had a lot on her plate this Thanksgiving, and not in a good way. On Thursday, the actress' ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey and fiance Olivier Martinez got into a physical fight outside her home, which ended in both men being hospitalised. The brawl reportedly took place after Aubry dropped off Nahla, his four-year-old daughter with Berry, for a Thanksgiving celebration with Halle and Olivier.

Witnesses told TMZ that the altercation began when Martinez approached Aubry in Berry's driveway, telling Nahla's father, "We have to move on." (Berry and Aubry have been locked in a vicious custody battle, and Berry was recently denied her request to move Nahla to France.) The men then began arguing in French. It was Aubry, 36, who reportedly threw the first punch — which was a questionable decision, considering that Olivier, 46, used to be a competitive boxer.

"Gabriel attacked Olivier and Olivier defended himself," a source told People.

The dust-up ended with Olivier pinning Aubry to the ground, but not before both were injured. TMZ reports that Aubry had a broken rib, facial bruising and a possible head injury, while Olivier may have left the fight with a broken hand and a neck injury. The men ended up being treated in the same Los Angeles hospital.

Following his visit to the emergency room, Aubry was arrested and booked for misdemeanor battery. He was released that evening on $20,000 bail.

Meanwhile, Berry has been making her daughter's protection her first priority. The actress reportedly rushed Nahla inside the house as soon as the Thanksgiving violence began, then took her to a friend's home for the night. The following day, Berry took Nahla to a Yo Gabba Gabba! show at the Nokia Theater, with a security guard in tow. Halle currently has an emergency protection order against Nahla's father, but she will reportedly be seeking a more permanent restraining order against Aubry this week.
