Gwyneth Paltrow thinks she's failing as a mother.

Gwyneth has shared some unexpected insights into her life as a parent.

Gwyneth Paltrow – website entrepreneur, founder of the term ‘conscious uncoupling’, mother, actor, Goop-er – has spoken out about her life as a parent. And it’s surprisingly real.

The 42-year-old Oscar-winning actress spoke to Viva magazine about what she finds hardest when parenting Apple, 10, and Moses, 8.

“Some days I just think I am failing everywhere. Like today I was making lunch and saying to myself ‘this lunch is so bad’ throwing pasta in the lunch bag, yelling ‘get in the car.’ I was losing my cool,” she said.

“I think it’s very hard to try to find the right balance and I think we all aspire to that balance, but it’s easier said than done. It’s just a matter of trying your best each day and not being too hard on yourself about things.”

Gwyneth also opened up about how hard she finds being a working mother.

“I think when you are a working mother it is always very difficult, in fact it’s difficult if you are a mother anyway even if you are not working. It’s the demand, the responsibility and the love – it’s a lot and trying to balance a career with it makes it hard,” she said.

“I have a lot of respect for women who try to do both things, because I really struggle,” she added.

Earlier this year, Gwyneth faced criticism over her comments of how much harder it was for her as a mother, compared to others. Maybe she’es trying to win us back?
