The 2016 Australian Grand Prix has been and gone, with the the Formula One World Championship taking place yesterday in Melbourne.

But whether or not you could give two hoots about who actually won the race (Nico Rosberg of Germany, by the way) the photos are worth perusing for the star-spotting factor alone.

Australian songstresses Samantha Jade, 28, and Sophie Monk, 36, were looking as polished as always at the Albert Park event. Samantha Jade looked particularly Hollywood in a tight, below-the-knees white number (with matching white shoes. Who knew they could be so stylish?)

Meanwhile, Natalie Bassingthwaite, 40, fronted her band The Rogue Traders for a rocking performance  — and had some killer braids to boot.

“What a feeling!!! So amazing to be back on stage with u all! Thanks so much.. Wow. So thrilling to see so many faces singing back to us! @iamchikhi #grandprix #roguetraders @ausgp,” Bassingthwaite posted on Instagram following her performance.

Also in attendance were Dr Chris Brown of Bondi Vet fame, Channel 9 presenter Lauren Phillips, former AFL star and I’m a Celebrity… winner Brendan Fevola, singer Anthony Callea, former Neighbours star Carla Bonner, entertainment commentator Melissa Hoyer, Jules Lund, Michael Turnbull from The Bachelorette, and racing star Mark Webber (Phew. Try reading out that list three times, fast.)

Other A-listers including Carrie Bickmore, Rachel Griffiths, Elyse Taylor and even Arnold Schwarzenegger were also in attendance at the popular event, but kept a lower profile on social media.

Sophie Monk was perhaps the most prolific social media poster of the day. The former Bardot songstress even posted a video of herself trying to outrun a golf buggy that had been carting her around the back area of the track.

“I said I can run faster than the buggy and he said do it, so I’m gonna do it,” Monk declared (rather confidently, given that she was wearing sky-high heels.)

But the challenge did not go well: “I’m exhausted. I thought I would win that challenge, I was being a smartarse,” she later confessed as she climbed back into the buggy.

At least her pink coat was a winner, hey?
