Kim and Sharon are together again and all is right in the world.
It’s been eight long years since the last episode of Kath and Kim aired.
That’s eight years of having to watch re-runs of Kath telling Kim to “look at moi” and seeing Sharon’s moves on the netball court.
Luckily for everyone, Gina Riley and Magda Szubanski are together again in sketch show Open Slather playing Vogue fashion moguls Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington as they navigate an Op Shop.
It’s their first show together since Kath and Kim, and it’s nice, it’s different, it’s unusual (sorry, we had to).
According to The Daily Telegraph, Riley wrote the sketch based on the documentary The September Issue which features Wintour and Coddington working together on the magazine.
Riley told The Daily Telegraph, “They are such great women, but the (sketch) idea of Vogue running an op shop where all the designers bring in their old stock that doesn’t sell really amused me.”
We hope this is just one of many appearances of Szubanski and Riley.
And we also hope that there is a special part reserved for Kath Day Knight aka Jane Turner in the next sketch.
