Gabrielle Union was the ultimate 90s cool girl. She played the alpha female alongside the likes of Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, and Freddy Prince Jr – and now she’s making us all miss the 90s with one very retro Instagram post.
On Friday, the Bring It On star posted a photo of the 10 Things I Hate About You cast, writing: “Just a bunch of kids having the time of our lives up in Tacoma/Seattle … 1st movie & an experience that I’ll never forget”. “The best/coolest/most generous group of people to share my 1st film experience. What a time man. ❤ and eternal light.” She added the hashtags #RIPHeath and #CanYouEverJustBeWhelmed.
Union’s post has already received over 200,000 likes and thousands of people have commented, remembering what was
definitely possibly the most important decade in pop culture (and bad fashion) history. “I definitely saw this when it came out and I recently watched it with my teenage daughter,” one person wrote. “Amazing film! You were all wonderful. And it was a quintessential part of my adolescence. So glad to hear it such a great experience,” added another. Love TV? Listen to the latest episode of The Binge. Post continues… “My most favorite movie to this day. They don’t make ’em like they used to!” “That was a great movie! I had such a huge crush on Andrew Keegan back in the day.” In the movie, Union played self obsessed mean girl – and best friend of Bianca Stratford – Chastity Church. These days, Union plays the lead role in the TV show Being Mary Jane. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got some movie watching to do.
