This is a still from the SATC movie and my favourite of Carrie’s 81 outfits. I love the way she works prints with prints and the coat over the dress. It’s signature. God, I tried to work that look for a lot of years until I remembered, ‘hey, costume designer Patricia Field is a genius and I’m not’.
The bag….the shoes…..I almost peaked too early because this was one of the first outfits in the film.
A masterpiece.
Tomorrow, I’m going to post a Frockwatch SATC movie special. Oh yes I am.

I love everything about Carrie. Every outfit was like art. Some of the outfits wouldn't suit me...some would...but I loved them all. LOVED THEM ALL :-)
HATE those shoes. Bondage for feet. And not sexy bondage. Bad bondage.
As for the bag, looks like a souvenir you'd bring home for your three year old neice, so she can walk it around the backyard until the strap breaks and fills it with mud...in the space of ten minutes.
