The cast of Friends is reuniting for a one-off special.

They’ll be there for you. We always knew they would!

Proving that the Friends theme song wasn’t just empty words, Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer have signed on for a two-hour TV special.

The actors are appearing in the NBC special to honour veteran director James Burrows, 75, who has just directed his 1000th episode of TV — 15 of which were Friends.

It’s been 12 years since the beloved sitcom went off-air, and in those dozen years there have been approximately 7213 Friends reunion rumours.

Now, before you try to revive the Rachel haircut or start planning a Central Perk pop-up, be aware that this isn’t a Friends-only event.

Other stars from Burrows-helmed shows will also appear, including casts from Will & Grace, Frasier, Cheers, Taxi, The Big Bang Theory, and Mike & Molly.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Friends cast may not even all be appearing at the same time.

“I’m hoping all six will be in same room at same time; I’m not sure we can logistically pull it off,” NBC chairman Matt Greenblatt said.

The special is being filmed later this month and will air in the US on February 21.
