Apparently filming Carpool Karaoke isn't nearly as fun as it looks.

Excuse us, but we were under the impression that everyone has the most enjoyable time of their lives while filming Carpool Karaoke.

The segment from The Late Late Show with James Corden involves celebrity guests (often chart-topping pop artists) singing along with Corden during a ‘trip’, and it’s gifted us with such moments as Michelle Obama singing with Missy Elliot, Adele harmonising with Corden, and Selena Gomez going through drive-thru at McDonalds to get a cup with her lyrics on it.

But now, The Foo Fighters have described the experience of filming the show as “uncomfortable”.

In an interview with British music publication New Musical Express, guitarist Pat Smear said, "By hour three in dude’s car, it got less fun".

Sounds a little rude, but okay.

“It kinda went on. When we stopped at Guitar Center, that felt like we were done, but it was like ‘this is halfway’.”

Lead singer Dave Grohl said Corden was lovely, however. “Oh he definitely is [a music lover]. And he’s a very nice guy," he said. “But you know, I don’t mind singing my own songs at Glastonbury or The O2, but if I had to sing you a song right now, I’d be too embarrassed.”

He also said he wasn't sure why certain songs were cut and others were used.

“We did The Ramones and Rick Astley, but they didn’t use it. I don’t know why," he said.

Maybe The Foo Fighters found the experience draining, but we refuse to believe that the likes of Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran didn't have the best time of their lives in that goddamn car.
