Family of three found dead in one bed in their burnt-out home.

The bodies of a husband and wife and their young son were found in a double bed in a burnt down cottage in Surrey, England yesterday.

It’s believed a fire had burned all night while the family slept, but investigators are yet to determine what caused the blaze.

The bodies of Tiago and Adriana Nunes and their son, Tiago, believed to be about seven years old, were found after Tiago failed to arrive at his job as a gardener the next day.

The cottage where the family lived had been completely gutted by fire, with local residents saying they had no idea the family were in danger during the night.

"[The cottage] is far away from the farmhouse which is over a mound. Looking at the cottage I don't think there were many houses that would have seen it," a local resident, who did not want to be named, told The Mirror.

"They were very well known and lovely people. I'm in shock," she said of the news the family had died.

Those close to the family of three have begun posting messages of grief online.

"My heart hurts too much!" Adriana's brother, Guilherme Alexandre Herrera Cruz, wrote on Facebook.

"I expected too much live close and you were gone! May God comfort us! Without words!"
