Holy smokes: We now know how much Erin Molan's engagement ring is worth.

There’s no denying the most exciting part of any engagement (besides, you know, that whole happiness and love and commitment thing) is the ring.

So, when The Footy Show host Erin Molan announced to the world she had been “pre-wifed” by her boyfriend Sean Ogilvy (that is, she told the world she was engaged), all the attention was focused on the big, shiny sparkler that had made a home for itself on the ring finger of her left hand.

And when the 34-year-old sports reporter and TV presenter posted a video showing off her new ring, the whole of Australia scrambled to pick up their jaws from the ground.

I mean, look at it. IT IS SO SHINY AND BEAUTIFUL.

Now, it’s been revealed just how much the ring, which features a 2.2-carat oval cut centre stone surrounded by a further three carats of smaller diamonds set on an 18k white gold band, is worth.

It turns out, the ring set Erin’s policeman fiancé back a whopping SIX FIGURES, The Daily Telegraph reports.

The newly-engaged presenter also confirmed her hubby-to-be saved up for six months to splurge on her ring.

Upon seeing Erin and her jeweller post loving comments to each other about the stunning ring, some suggested that the ring had been ‘gifted’ to the Channel Nine star.

The designer, Australian jewellers House of Kdor, also confirmed to The Daily Telegraph the ring “the diamond ring was purchased and not gifted” despite their “friendship” with the couple.
