With the Spring Racing Carnival over, let’s take a minute to think about the thousands of pairs of sore feet currently being nursed by racegoers following days in high heels.

Ouch.

However there’s one celebrity attendee likely kicking her feet up in glee.

Sunrisepresenter Edwina Bartholomew finished up the Spring Racing season at Stakes Day in a metallic By Johnny dress and matching silver Witchery shoes – but she had a trick up her sleeve(less dress) to avoid joining the legions of sore-footed guests.

A spare pair of stylish shoes – without the heel.

“Fact V Fiction. $15 Target sandals that saved my Spring Carnival bacon. And by bacon, I mean feet,” she captioned the photo of both pairs of shoes.
