April is shaping up to be a big month in celebrity milestones. From Erin Molan’s engagement to Megan Gale’s pregnancy, the happy announcements are coming at us from all angles.
On Thursday evening, Edwina Bartholomew decided to join the party.
The Sunrise presenter shared the news of her engagement to fellow journalist and longtime boyfriend Neil Varcoe on Instagram… a fortnight after it actually happened.

“On this day, two wonderful weeks ago, the love of my life @neilwrites asked me to be his wife,” Bartholomew wrote.
“And I said… umm…. ahh… let me have a think… just kidding… YES. We are over the moon.”
In a world where instant gratification and oversharing have become de rigeur, the fact Varcoe and Bartholomew kept their news on the down low for two weeks is quite impressive.

And it seems Sarah Harris is of the same opinion.
“YOU KEPT THAT QUIET FOR TWO WEEKS??????” the Studio 10 host commented, adding, “You’ll be a beautiful bride.”
Bartholomew and Varcoe have been together for six years, having met when they worked together at 2GB.
We have a sneaking suspicion all eyes will be on Eddie's ring finger during Friday morning's episode of Sunrise.
