The mother of two Dreamworld tragedy victims plans to revisit the theme park.

The mother of Dreamworld tragedy victims Kate Goodchild and Luke Dorsett plans to return to the park and is “fine” with the reopening next week, a friend has revealed.

Ms Goodchild and Mr Dorsett, along with his partner Roozi Araghi and 42-year-old Sydney woman Cindy Low, were tragically killed when the Thunder Rapids River Rapids ride malfunctioned on 25 October.

The theme park will reopen on Saturday, December 10 and according to a friend of the family’s, Sandra Brookfield, Kim Dorsett will one day visit Dreamworld.

“She’s all good with it, she’s fine. She does plan to revisit at some stage,” Ms Brookfield told AAP.

Ms Brookfield organised a crowdfunding page which raised more than $67,000 for Ms Goodchild's two daughters and said the family were overwhelmed by the donations.

The donations will help Ms Goodchild's partner of 13 years Dave Turner and their 10 month-old and 12-year-old daughters.

"I'm thinking of shutting it (crowdfunding) down because I feel the Australian public have reached out and done their bit," Ms Brookfield said.

"The Dorsett family is very appreciative of the public's support."

Dreamworld's reopening coincides with the first day of Queensland's summer school holidays.

While wildlife areas, entertainment and family attractions will reopen, other rides that are yet to undergo the four-tier safety review ordered after the tragedy will remain closed.

These include thrill rides such as the Tower of Terror, Buzzsaw and the Claw.

The nearby park, WhiteWater World, will reopen with all its slides and pools available for use.

Dreamworld management had announced plans to reopen the park much sooner, but scrapped them after strong public backlash.
