These incredible sportswomen didn't let being pregnant stop them from pushing the limits.

Creating another human and letting it inhabit your body for nine months is an amazing feat in itself, but there are some women who take it one step further.

Take Serena Williams, arguably one of the greatest athletes of all time. She’s strong and powerful – and probably won this year’s Australian Open (her 23rd Grand Slam, incidentally) when she was two months pregnant.

She’s not the only one.

There are plenty of others who haven’t let being pregnant stop them from defying gravity when it comes to exercise and sport.

Take Kinki Wong, who was still doing all the yoga moves I can barely dream off while nine months pregnant.

Or Maia Makhateli, Prima Ballerina of Het National Opera Ballet who still is literally still en pointe.

Of course, these are all women for whom these exercise regimens are normal, and it’s always best to talk to your doctor before starting any new physical activities while pregnant.

And while they’re incredible to watch, it’s also just as ok (and amazing) to sit on the couch or consider a walk to the local shops an impressive feat for the day.
