The moment a 7-week-old baby hears for the first time.

Lachlan Lever was diagnosed with moderate-to-high hearing loss early in life and at seven weeks old, he received his first hearing aid.

Cameras were on hand to capture the beautiful moment when he finally starts to hear and the video has now gone viral.

Lachlan, from Blackburn in Victoria, is now two and is progressing well. His mum, Michelle, released the video as a way to support other parents in similar situations.

“I want them to realise there is a lot of… help available to them,” she told Daily Mail Australia.
