Lara Owsianik, 25, has come up with a genius idea for that logo onesie your newborn grew out of but you don’t have the heart to throw out.

She’s been making custom memory bears for the past year, that are made out of your favourite babygrow and come with a birth date and name.

Her 13-15 inch bears can take up to six hours to make and parents have been purchasing them as a keepsake - rather than a toy.

"I had just graduated from a special effects make-up, prosthetics, and props program and had taken a puppetry class that taught me how to sew [and so] I began designing him stuffed animals," said Lara Owsianik.

"I thought, every child deserves a stuffed animal that is one of a kind and not a mass produced plush that every one of their friends could have."

Owsianik uses "infant safe" materials with no plastic detailing and soft fabric.

"I want every child to feel they have a one and a kind toy that they can cherish and cuddle forever," she says.

The memory bears can be shipped to Australia in 6-10 days.
