The alarm bells are deafening.

There’s young love. And then there’s controlling, stalking behaviour. The two things are NOT the same.

But no-one told Azel Prather Jr. Prather, 25, who has gained worldwide notoriety after starting a crowdfunding campaign to “oversee all parties and fun activity” of his 22-year-old girlfriend Marissa while she’s on spring break in Miami.

Basically people have raised money so this guy can successfully stalk his girlfriend. Congratulations, concerned citizens.

After thousands of shares online and donations from 27 people, Prather’s GoFundMe campaign succeeded in getting him a return flight to his

“If you know anything about Miami, you know that she shouldn’t go without a chaperone,” Prather wrote in his desperate plea last week.

“I will be staying wherever she lays her head, eating whatever she

, and overseeing all parties and fun activity for the duration of the trip,” he added.

In a further effort to secure funds, Prather shared his concerns about his girlfriend’s Facebook updates.

But Prather has stressed to the Washington Post that after being together a year and a half, he’s secure in his relationship.

Oh yeah we totally got that out of this whole situation.

It’s Miami that’s the problem, you see.

“If I had to pick one place for my girlfriend not to go, Miami would be it! I think the sun just melts all the morals in Miami. It’s a free-for-all,” Prather said.

And it just gets sadder. Prather uploaded the following Instagram video upon his arrival.

“You thought this was your trip,” he says. “This our trip.”

“I miss my friends,” she says.
