There’s a new boot in town and they’re all you’re going to want to put on your feet this year.
Cowboy boots.
Yes, actual cowboy boots. The ones worn by boot scootin’ outlaws in every Wild West movie you’ve ever seen.
As seen on the Autumn/Winter 2019 runways of Isabel Marant, Calvin Klein and Fendi, and on the feet of very important fashion people, the cowboy boot is the statement boot everyone will be loving sick.
Side note – here’s some examples of real women going crazy with colours and prints, check out the fashion inspiration below. Post continues after video.
Which is great and all, but we have one question.
How does one wear cowboy western boots in real life without feeling like a… fashion w*nker? Or like you’re playing dress ups?
So, we asked an expert.
“Compared to the embroidered 90s style boot, the AW19 cowboy boot is shorter and sharper, and finished in either simple black, white leather or chic animal prints like mock croc, so they are a lot more wearable for everyday,” THE ICONIC’s Head of Style Nicole Adolphe told Mamamia.
“For those who want to play it safe, go for a cleaner, muted black cowboy boot. Perfect for pairing with almost any colour palette or print, this safer bet will provide plenty of wear throughout the season. If you’re looking to work more of a statement, opt for a bold animal print that will add an instant trend factor to any look.
“The best thing about this trend is it not only adds an instant fun factor to any outfit, but also gets big ticks for comfort. From midi skirts, slip dresses to animal prints, the AW19 season will have plenty of options when it comes to giving your look a Western-inspired touch.”
