A list of the countries having the most sex has been released, because the world needs to know.

Forget sitting around the brunch table and comparing your sex life to those of hungover friends.

Wave goodbye to the days of interpersonal comparison and prepare yourselves for the INTERNATIONAL SEX OLYMPICS.

Okay, there’s no such thing as the International Sex Olympics, which is probably a good thing, because it would be weird to watch with your family.

There is, however, some new data about which countries get down and dirty most often.

The information comes from fertility-tracking app Glow, which collects data from women trying to conceive and compares it to an overall population average.

Cue a swell of national pride: Australia comes in second on the list, having 36.8% more sex than the global average. We are a nation of raunchy sex-havers, and we are proud.

Who beat us to the title, you ask? Those flirty Americans? Those sexy Italians? The French? It must be the French! 

Wrong. In fact, it’s Canadians who take out the top spot, having 45.4% more sex than the Average Joe. (Those sly dogs).

For all their frat boys and Playboy bunnies, America is only 16.3% above the population average, and Latin America – alleged sexiest population on Earth – falls 3.5% below average.

The app also collected data about when women are most likely to have their best orgasms, with an overwhelming majority of women having their best sex the day before their period began.

So next time you’re approaching the start of your period (or, you know, at any time of the month you choose), have sex.

Enjoy yourself. And, most importantly, close that 9% gap between Australia and Canada forever and cement our status as the greatest nation on Earth.
