On Monday Constance Hall announced she’s expecting her first child with her new partner, Denim Cooke. Hall is already shares four children with her ex-partner, and Cooke is a father-of-two.

Within minutes the popular blogger’s Facebook page and the social media pages of the news outlets reporting on the announcement were flooded with negative comments aimed towards the 33-year-old.

A lot of the critics were unhappy with the mum-of-six’s comments around abortion.

“We are not ready for this and I am petrified, babies terrify me,” she wrote in her Facebook announcement.

“But are we happy? Pigs in s***. Well…. I’m hormonal, I considered having an abortion this morning because Densy slept in.”

Hall has now responded to the criticism in a follow up Facebook comment.

“A lot of people are angry that I joked about abortion,” she began her post. “Actually, I was dead set serious.”

The mum-of-six said she did consider an abortion and she actually called her sister to talk about it.

“I am pro choice, I always have been and I believe in normalising abortions, they shouldn’t be a dirty secret that we don’t discuss in public forums.

“That said, I consider abortions and miscarriage/fertility issues two very separate topics. And I would never joke about the latter.”

Hall finished up her post by apologising to those who had been offended by her comments.

“So I am sorry for offending those that were offended. It wasn’t intended to offend.”
