We scoured the internet for the best summer co-ord sets and this is what we found.

When it comes to summer dressing, my requirements are simple:

  1. I should be able to throw it on easily.

  2. I shouldn’t have to spend hours thinking about the perfect outfit combination.

So when the weather starts to warm up, you’ll most likely see me sporting an effortless dress, or, my new go-to: co-ord sets.

If I had to describe my style, I would say it's quite minimalist and, dare I say, quite luxury (on a budget), which means my entire wardrobe is filled with really basic clothing items I can wear year on year.

Rarely do I add anything new to my closet, and when I do, I always ask myself, “Am I buying this because it’s trendy? Or because it’s actually something I would wear?” Nine times out of 10, the answer is the former.

It’s been a long time since something has really caught my eye, so when I found myself doing a double-take at co-ord sets, I knew it was time to slap my credit card on the counter and buy one (read: multiple).

The beauty of a co-ord is that it can either be worn together, or separately, so you can get multiple outfits out of two pieces. They’re also extremely easy to dress up or down – just add heels or sneakers and you’re good to go.

So if you’re itching to buy a co-ord set for yourself, have a look at my top picks below.

Seven Wonders Harry Shirt, $99, and Short, $79.

Why I love it: It was love at first sight when I spotted this co-ord set on The Iconic. The scalloped edges and the black-and-white contrast makes it stand out in the best way.

SHOWPO Brunita Shirt, $59.95, and Pants, $69.95.

Why I love it: There's something about the sleeve length on this co-ord set that makes me want to hit purchase immediately. I can also see myself wearing it in two different ways: 1. With the shirt untucked, giving it a more relaxed feel, and 2. With the shirt tucked in, making it look a lot more refined.

DISSH Murphy Natural Pinstripe Vest, $139.99, and Pant, $139.99.

Why I love it: Listen, I may be a bit biased because I'm obsessed with anything DISSH releases, however, this pant suit is perfect for the days I'm going into the office. The stripes are also a bonus because they're super flattering.

Selfie Leslie Kiko Button-up Shirt, $65.99, and Wide Leg Pants, $69.99.

Why I love it: Look. At. The. Print. Doesn't it just SCREAM summer? I don't have a lot of colour in my wardrobe but this I can definitely get on board with.

Venroy Long Sleeve Silk Shirt, $320, and Wide Leg Pant, $280.

Why I love it: This Venroy co-ord set has been on my wishlist for a while now, because it looks so comfortable. The chevron print against the chocolate backdrop also makes this piece unique.

Sheike Floral Shadows Shirt, $139.99, and Pant, $159.99.

Why I love it: Picture this: It's a warm summer night and you show up to a dinner wearing this and a pair of black strappy heels. All I'll say is that you're going to be the best dressed guest at the party.

Kmart Long Sleeve Linen Blend Shirt, $20, and Mini Skirt, $15.

Why I love it: This sherbet orange shade is screaming my name, plus it's linen, making it breathable for those boiling summer afternoons.

Shona Joy Kapono Shirred Bralette, $120, and Tiered Midi Skirt, $240.

Why I love it: Look, I may not be going to Europe anytime soon but wearing this outfit is going to transport me to the streets of Mykonos. The shirred detailing on the top and skirt will also make sure that the outfit fits like a glove.

Sancia The Lucie Shirt, $189, and The Marlene Shorts, $159.

Why I love it: I'm a sucker for a good sleeve, and the way this blouse puffs out around the wrists makes my heart flutter. The dropped shoulder also gives the entire set a laid-back look.

SHOWPO Rooftop Spritz Two Piece Set, $89.95.

Why I love it: I have never met a person who looks bad in baby blue and ruffles. It's girly, it's cute, and it's flattering on pretty much everyone.
