Hero Product: Clinique's Bottom Lash Mascara

I’m a sucker for a new product. The more specific its purpose, the harder I suck. Which is how I came to buy Clinique’s Bottom Lash Mascara, which sounds almost ridiculous but is actually genius. I was walking through the beauty department at David Jones when I saw it – a cute little tube that at first I thought was a travel mascara.

I’m also obsessed with mini beauty products so it immediately hooked me. I’d never heard of a bottom lash mascara before. Peasant that I am, I’d always just used my regular mascara on my top AND bottom lashes. I know.

Everything about this product is teeny tiny. It’s about ten centimetres in total and the brush part is less than one centimetre, allowing you to wangle it (technical term) into tight awkward spots around your inner or outer bottom lashes without getting mascara on your cheeks. With a regular-sized brush, I do that a lot.

So truly, this product is very cool and clever. I know the application of mascara to the bottom lashes is a (*cough*) controversial issue, but I’ll leave that for another post and a better expert than me. I find it opens my eyes when I’m tired, which is always.
