Supermodel Chrissy Teigen has shared her first baby bump picture – and of course, she’s been shamed for it.
Earlier this month, Teigen announced she and her husband John Legend are expecting. She had previously spoken publicly about her ongoing infertility struggles.
The 29-year-old uploaded the sweet picture over the weekend.
She included the caption: “Somebody is early to the party.”
But it didn't take long for the haters to start criticising her body and the size of her bump, with many even rudely questioning whether she was pregnant with twins or triplets.
Teigen personally responded to many body shamers on Twitter, pleading with people to "Get out of my uterus!"
She finally gave up, tweeting "No more preg tweeting for me, lesson learned!! Back to food and reality TV and hay things".
Of course, many fans were quick to jump to her defence.
She's not the first woman to find her body seems to become public property as soon as she conceives. While Teigen's bump has been criticised for being too big, just last week Aussie blogger and WAG Nadia Bartel revealed that she has been slammed by strangers for having a too-small bump.
It's a timely reminder to keep comments about other women's bodies and pregnancies to ourselves.
Good luck with the pregnancy, Chrissy - and don't let the bump police get you down for one second.
Did you cop any baby bump criticism while pregnant?
