This is… This is… Well, it’s just pretty freaking incredible.

A little boy is playing in his front yard when a dog suddenly attacks him. But within seconds, the boy’s cat comes running in out of nowhere, jumps on the dog and chases him away.

Like a TOTAL BOSS.

The whole thing is less than a minute but it’s so amazing to watch, it’s had over 3 million views in 24 hours.

Be warned though – the boy’s parents (who posted the video) have included a shot of his injuries at the end, as a way to demonstrate how much worse things could have been if the cat hadn’t intervened like an epic hero. It’s just some flesh wounds, but they’re pretty icky, so if you’re easily grossed out stop watching at the 45-second mark.

It’s being reported that the dog will be euthanised.

The boy is fine and his cat, Tara, is being internationally hailed as a total boss/hero/general legend.
