Twenty years ago the movie Honey was released starring Jessica Alba. Upon its release the whole world began popping and locking, thinking they could break out into spontaneous dance at the shopping centre. Ah, they certainly were simpler times!

The early 2000s sparked a genre of dance film which garnered incredible popularity amongst millennials and launched a number of actors into superstardom.

Let’s take a look at what the cast of Honey have been up to over the past two decades.

Jessica Alba: Honey Daniels.

In her own words, Jessica Alba was at the top of her career when she bowed out of the industry following the birth of her daughter Honor in 2008, five years afterHoney.

"I had this real moment of, I want to live, and thrive, and spend as much time with this little person that I'm bringing into the world as possible and stay,” she told Romper in 2021, after explaining how she suffered from chronic illness as a child.

“So, my health matters. I want this little person to be healthy. And it's really freaking hard to be happy when you don't have your health."

Alba also assured the publication she didn’t retire out of fear of missing out on roles. "Frankly, I was at the top of my career," she said. She wasn’t wrong. Alba played lead roles in Fantastic Four’s franchises, Machete and Sin City, too.

"I couldn't go back to what I was doing before and be authentic. I just couldn't. I didn't care about it the same way," she told the publication.

It didn’t come as a shock when Alba traded scripts for eco-conscious soaps. In 2012, she launched her baby product brand The Honest Company, after her daughter Honor broke out in hives from washing detergent.

Alba and her hubby Cash Warren are parents to three children, Honor, 15, Haven, 11, and Hart, five.

Romeo Miller: Benny.

SinceHoney,Romeo Miller has dabbled in acting, but has stuck to more low-budget films like 2022’sA Miracle Before Christmas,andWho Is Christmas Evein 2021.

What’s most important to the 33-year-old is parenting with his fiancé, Drew Sangster.

“My tribe is growing,” Miller shared in March, 2023. “I introduce to you my fearless, intuitive, and ingenious daughter; WINTER SNOH MILLER! My heart is so full knowing that my girls will have each other as they grow.”

Miller added, “I’ve accomplished a lot of things in my life, but becoming a father is by far the best and most fulfilling.”

Miller welcomed his first daughter, River Rose on Valentine’s Day, 2022.
