1. Cassandra Thorburn has been tipped for an unexpected prime-time TV gig.

Cassandra Thorburn has been tipped for a very unexpected prime-time TV gig.

It’s believed the journalist, who was previously married to Karl Stefanovic, is set to appear in the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars.

Speaking on the Kyle and Jackie O Show yesterday morning, entertainment reporter Peter Ford shared that Thorburn was reportedly seen at a photo shoot for the reality show last week.

“There was a photo shoot [that] took place last week, so all the other celebrities now know who the other celebrities are, so the word is getting around,” Ford told hosts Jackie O Henderson and Kyle Sandilands on air.

Other celebrities tipped by Ford to be appearing on the dance show include blogger Constance Hall, actor Samuel Johnson, Studio 10 host Denise Scott, fitness guru Michelle Bridges, model Jett Kenny, and former Neighbours star Olympia Valance among others.

Speaking to news.com.au, however, a spokesperson for Channel Ten admitted that while there were some correct names listed by Ford, he hasn’t quite got them all.

The new season of the show, which is being released some time in 2019, will be hosted by Amanda Keller and Grant Denyer on Channel Ten.

2. FYI, Dr Chris Brown is single again after splitting with girlfriend Liz Phyland.

Everybody’s favourite Bondi Vet is back on the market after separating from his girlfriend of two months, Liv Phyland.

According to a source from New Idea, Phyland was the one who initiated the split, leaving the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host devastated.

“Chris had only been gone for like 10 minutes before Liv decided it was all over,” they said.

“He’s absolutely devastated and heartbroken. This is the first time Chris has been dumped in a long time. He is usually the one who ends things, but he really thought Liv was the one.”

Apparently their long-distance relationship is to be blamed for the breakup, given that Brown is currently in South Africa on hosting duties, while Phyland is based in Sydney as part of her job on  duties for The Loop.

At least he can keep himself busy keeping our celebrities in check over in the South African jungle.

3. The awkward gaffe you may have missed in the latest MAFS promo.

Usually when a new MAFS promo drops, it’s the ~drama~ of whatever the next season will bring that has us talking excitedly by the water cooler.

But yesterday, when Channel 9 posted the latest taste of season 6, it was a bizarre editing detail that had the internet in a frenzy.

In one snippet from the clip, which shows a montage of fiery exchanges between couples at a dinner party (which looks bloody epic TBH), fans noticed something… familiar.

It was the bodies of 2018 couple Carly Bowyer and Justin Fischer.

What?

They shouldn’t… be there.

Check it out below:

While their faces weren’t clear in the brief shot, Carly’s orange dress and Justin’s arm were spotted by eagle-eyed fans.

“Why are you showing Carly and Justin in an ad? That’s last season,” one commented.

Carly herself even noticed the editing fail, sharing a since-expired screenshot of the trailer on her Instagram Story with the caption: “Why are Justin and I on the latest MAFS ad? Looks like my outfit.”

How awkward.

But hey, it doesn’t make us any less excited for the season to begin next week.

Bringeth forth the drama, pls.

4. NO. There are rumours that The Bachelorette might be axed.

In even MORE sad news, The Bachelorette might not be making a return to our screens in 2019 and we are devastated.

A mixture of poor ratings and audience disinterest can be blamed, with 97.3 FM suggesting the show could also be taking a year off to “lure back viewers”.

Earlier last year, Now to Love also suggested the demise of the series after Sportsbet placed the odds at $3.50 in favour of the show not returning.

Speaking to Now to Love, the betting agency said audience interaction was a clear indication that they no longer cared.

“More people are watching random people trying to win The Chase than The Bachelorette, which shows viewers are just not interested in who Ali catches,” said sportsbet.com.au‘s Will Byrne.

“Unfortunately the writing is on the wall judging from the odds and the axe looks ready to be swung.”

And while this means one less woman will be able to meet the love of her life, with a good two dozen contestants missing out on their chances at internet fame, more importantly this could leave us with a gaping hole in our post-Bachelor reality TV schedules, and isn’t that the real tragedy here?

5. Ex Home and Away star Tammin Sursok just gave us the first glimpse of her second child.
