Next bookclub book
For about the third or possibly fourth time, I’m reading I Don’ t Know How She Does It, because we’re doing it for the Mamamia Bookclub this month (with Lifestyled.com.au and Paula Joye). It’s a brilliant book I’ve read at so many different times in my life as a working mother. But it’s not just for mothers or for mothers who work outside the house, it’s very easy to read, funny and yet one of those books that has you nodding or (in my case because I’m a loser) underlining certain sentences that are just SOOO TRUE. I’m keen to know what you’re reading at the moment but I’m also keen to hear some suggestions as to how we can do our bookclub better. My mistake last month was choosing a book I’d heard great things about but hadn’t yet read and I think the video Paula and I made was a little….I don’t know, long and not inclusive enough. I think there needs to be more structure, perhaps some of it needs to be written rather than just rambling video and…..well, I’m asking for your input. How should we run the next bookclub (it will be happening in the next couple of weeks)? And if you’re looking for some book choice inspiration….you might want to take a look at the hugely popular interview with author Jessica Rudd from earlier in the week. And what are YOU reading at the moment?
