Girlfriend of actor shot dead on Bliss N Eso shoot pays tribute to "the love of my life".

Johann Ofner, the Gold Coast stunt double who was fatally shot while filming a Bliss n Eso music video in Brisbane on Monday, has been remembered as a “true angel” by partner Kati Garnett.

“Today the love of my life was taken from me and I still can’t believe it,” the model wrote of her 28-year-old boyfriend on Instagram.

“I don’t know what I’m going to do with out you, the best people are always taken from us you were a true Angel. I love you so so much forever and ever.”

It is believed the pair were together for 10 months. Ofner was also father to a six-year-old daughter, Kyarna, from another relationship.

Ofner was killed at the Brooklyn Standard bar around 2pm, after what was thought to be a prop shotgun fired two bullets into his chest, Courier Mail reports. He died at the scene.

After the horrific incident, the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance offered their “deepest condolences” to Mr Ofner’s family.

“This tragedy is a stark reminder that the screen industry is inherently dangerous and of the need for total vigilance about workplace safety at all times on set,” a spokesperson said.

Local police are investigating accident, specifically looking into what kind of ammunition was inside the gun.

In a press conference, Detective Inspector Tom Armitt said several firearms were in the bar when authorities arrived.

“A scene was being conducted in which the actors were using firearms,” he said. “Something has caused those injuries to that man’s chest, but how that occurred is now part of our investigation.”
