Bill Spedding uploads a video, pleads innocence in the disappearance of William Tyrell.

“I wish to make it perfectly clear this claim is completely false.”

Bill Spedding, who was named as a person person of interest in the disappearance of William Tyrell, has posted a video online to clarify reports that he may be aware of the NSW toddler’s whereabouts.

“My wife Margaret and I offer the Tyrrell family our sincere commiserations in the disappearance of William Tyrrell,” he says in the YouTube video.

“I wish to state that I have no involvement in the disappearance of William Tyrrell.”

Tyrell has not be seen, since disappearing from his grandmother’s front porch on September 12, last year.

Mr Spedding, a washing machine repair man, reportedly visited the house just days earlier.

Spedding says that although he visited the house, contrary to some media reports, he was not there on the day Tyrell went missing.

“I have not been in the Tyrrell house or to the Tyrrell house or to the street, before, between or after these dates,” he says.

“The media have reported that I was supposed to have attended the Tyrrell house on the 12th September 2014, this being the day of William’s disappearance.

“I wish to make it perfectly clear this claim is completely false.”

Mr Spedding had his house home excavated by police as part of their investigations into the case, and was charged with historic, unrelated child sex offences.
