Every month, we round up the new (or new to us) beauty products the Mamamia team is loving sick.
But what about the ones we've emptied — and if we'd buy them again? Or the products we had high hopes for, but DNF (did not finish)?
Watch: Why beauty expert Kelly McCarren was so devastated to finish this serum. Post continues after video.
In our Empties series, we'll be sharing thoughts on the skincare, makeup, haircare, bodycare and fragrance products we finished this month. Plus, the ones we didn't, and why.
Let's get stuck in, starting with mine.
Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm in Jam, $19.

Would I repurchase? 1,000 per cent yes. I'm the world's pickiest tinted lip balm customer, but I've been recommending this Naturium lip balm to anyone who'll listen. It's thick, nourishing and glossy, never sticky. The shade Jam makes my lips look like I've had them done.
KEVIN.MURPHY Plumping Shampoo, $56.95, and Plumping Conditioner, $58.95.

Would I repurchase? Yes, but like all my favourite salon haircare products, only when they're on sale. Thankfully, Kevin Murphy is on sale at Adore Beauty for Afterpay Day! Cute packaging and sweet sherbet scent aside, this volume shampoo and conditioner duo are excellent for fine hair types who need hydration that won't weigh your roots down.
OUAI Hair Oil, $58.

Would I repurchase? Not right now, but not because this ultra lightweight hair oil doesn't smell like sunshine and isn't amazing at adding shine and smoothing flyaways. My colleague Cass has the best hair you've ever seen; she recently recommended the OGX Argan Weightless Dry Oil Mist and it's half the price, so that's next on my to-try list.
Alpha-H Golden Haze Face Oil, $76.95.

Would I repurchase? Yes; another product on my Afterpay Day sales shopping list. I'm on my 10th bottle of this face oil and have no plans to stop. It has a blend of nine oils my very dry skin loves, but it won't break oilier skin types out. I find the subtle herbal, floral scent really comforting, too. Full disclosure, I used to work at Alpha-H (we got skincare for free!) but I've paid full price several times since leaving. That's how you know it's a winner.
Clinique Black Honey Lip Gloss, $49.95.

Would I repurchase? Never say never, but buying new lip products is one of my favourite hobbies, and I'm eyeing off the new LANEIGE Juicepop Box Lip Tint. That said, I loved this merlot lip gloss. Everyone raves about the Black Honey lip balm, but the lip gloss version is so much better and anyone can wear it. It has the perfect consistency, doe-foot applicator and amount of colour and shine.
Now, onto the products my colleagues did (and didn't) finish this month.
From You Beauty host, Kelly McCarren…
Image Ageless Total Pure Hyaluronic Filler 30ml, $159.95.

Would Kelly repurchase? "Yes, but I was so annoyed when I went to repurchase because of how expensive it is. I hate how good it is. Although I'm a fan of plenty of more affordable hydrating serums, this one hits different. Which it should, given the price tag."
From Executive Editor and You Beauty host, Leigh Campbell…
INIKA Organic Lip Mask - Bakuchiol + AHA, $55.

Would Leigh repurchase? "I'm more sad that it's over, because I had this for quite some time and it's worth every cent. I very rarely finish lip glosses or lip balms, but this is one you'll put on at night, wake up in the morning and go, 'damn, what did I put on?' because your lips feel so good. It's firm and waxy like a men's hair product, super nourishing and stays on your lips forever."
From Managing Editor, Cass Green…
Vaseline Intensive Care Vanilla Glow Shimmer Body Gel Oil, $16.99.

Would Cass repurchase? "I'm loving this! If you want glow, this absolutely delivers. It's really moisturising but also leaves your skin looking super luminous and glossy. Perfect for days when you want that extra shine on your arms and legs."
From Beauty Writer, Juna Xu…
Skinstitut Glycolic Scrub 14%, $55.
Would Juna repurchase? "I already did, hence the photo of a fresh tube! I'm a loyal K-beauty fan, but this is one product I'll never stray from (which really says something). I've been using it for over 10 years, and it's still one of the most effective exfoliators I've tried."
"I use it two to three times a week on my face to gently buff away dead skin, smooth texture and keep pores clear. It also doubles as my go-to body exfoliator. I use it on the backs of my arms for my keratosis pilaris and across my legs to keep everything soft and smooth."
From The Quicky podcast host and Executive Producer, Taylah Strano…
Soap & Glory Magnificoco Body Wash, $18.

Would Taylah repurchase? "Yep! So delicious! This body wash lathers beautifully and isn't sickly sweet in scent, but has a true coconut fragrance."
Associate Editor and Podcast Host, Em Vernem…
BUBBLE Bounce Back Balancing Toner Mist, $20.

Would Em repurchase? "Just finished and loved this, but I wish the product was larger as I went through it much quicker than I expected. I sprayed this mist on mornings and evenings after washing my face and it helps my other skincare products sink into my skin. It feels so fresh and is great at waking me up."
From Branded Content Manager, Shell Webb…
ÜberZinc Protective Daily Moisturiser, $125.

Would Shell repurchase? "Yes, yes, yes. Bloody heck yes. It's spenny but UberZinc's giving me that dewy-but-not-greasy finish (handy for an oily girl), and I've been loving it either worn solo or as a primer on long days when I need my makeup to last."
From Sales Manager, Anna Ranford…
Rise Brow Styling Balm, $49.

Would Anna repurchase? "Yes, because finally I've found a brow product I actually like that holds all day without making my brows look stiff or flaky. Refillable as well, so an easy repurchase!!"
From Studio Manager and Audio Producer, Lu Hill…
Naturium The Smoother Glycolic Acid Body Lotion, $34.

Would Lu repurchase? "I instantly repurchased this body lotion with glycolic acid. I originally bought for my KP (keratosis pilaris) trouble spots, but I've ended up using it all over my body. The fact I can apply one product and get both exfoliation and moisture is a big win for me. I've really noticed a decrease in unevenness, crustiness and texture. It's the first body lotion I've actually really enjoyed using."
