Last year the couple – who were high school sweethearts – were rocked by rumours of an extra-marital affair between Beau and Hi-5! alum Lauren Brant, which surfaced when Brant’s ex-fiancé did an interview with Woman’s Day.

Despite the intense media pressure the cheating controversy placed on Kara, she told the publication: “I was actually more worried for Beau if I’m honest.”

Kara said her, her husband and daughter Remi sticking together was always imperative.

“He was still a very beautiful person and a loving father. The grass isn’t always greener, and while it was a difficult situation, running from anything in life is never the answer,” she said.
