The most artistic pregnancy photos we have ever seen.

It’s like a full diorama on her belly.

Simon Schaffrath is a 27-year-old graphic designer from Germany. The creative type, you know? So when he and his wife, Saskia Repp, found out they were expecting their first baby, he knew the announcement (and documentation of bump-growth) had to be special.

“We decided to make some special and creative photos,” he wrote for Kulture Magazine.

Little Theordor (bless) was due in November, and every week his parents set up a photo shoot.

“We took the photos on Sundays,” said Schaffrath. “Then I retouched them with Photoshop till Wednesdays and after that I planned the next shoot.” All scenarios were created using non-toxic and skin-tolerant paints and other art supplies.

Each image has a special message for ‘Theo’, encouraging him to ‘enjoy the moment’, ‘know his goals’ and ‘reach for the stars.’

And a little Fun Fact from Schaffrath:

“While shooting, Theo often kicked mom’s belly, so the paste got some cracks and we had to repair the landscape all the time. In the meantime the photos are framed and embellish Theodor’s bedroom and all we can do now, is wait for him.”

No doubt Theo’s bedroom is the coolest (and most unique) nursery going around.
