Actress Anna Bamford shares her beauty regime from morning to night.

As far as careers go, Anna Bamford is having a dream run.

After graduating from drama school she immediately picked up a role in Wonderland (for which she earned a Logie nomination), then starred in play The Present alongside Cate Blanchett, and is now enjoying a stint in Home And Away.

As the new face of Dr. Lewinn’s, Bamford spoke to Mamamia about how she winds down from her hectic work schedule and the products she swears by.

The morning routine.

“First I drink a glass of water and after that I’ll take a bunch of vitamins. Following that, I head straight for the coffee.

I like to cleanse my skin as soon as I wake up in the morning to get rid of any build up from the night. I use the Dr. LeWinn’s Essentials 4 Fusion Cleansing Oil ($32.99). I let my skin sit for a while and then follow up with the Dr. LeWinn’s Private Formula Day Cream Moisturiser Light SPF ($49.99). If it’s a day off, I like to keep my skin makeup-free and give it a chance to breathe. If I’m heading out, I’ll make sure there’s some time between skincare and makeup – so the products have a chance to sink in.”

Makeup time.

“On a day off I like to keep my makeup fairly minimal, however if I’m going to a meeting or meeting a friend where I don’t get my makeup professionally applied I would put on Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lash mascara ($46), I’d use a little bit of the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Go ($97) and then would probably also put a little bit of my Melli Cosmetics lip stain on. One thing I always do is make sure my brows are done because I think that really defines the face. I use Shu Uemura Brow Sword ($48).”

Hair care.

“I wash my hair usually around three times a week, however that really depends on what I have happening that week in terms of work and events. Often a hair and makeup artist will ask me not to wash my hair so that the style they’re doing holds. My go-to hair products are Olaplex, Aveda Shampure Dry Shampoo ($30) and Wella Luxe Oil ($46.95) on my wet hair.

Fragrances.

“Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb ($99). I’m also liking the new Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming ($99) which I’ve recently been sent.” (Post continues after gallery.)

What’s in Anna’s handbag right now.

“A Young Living Essential Oils Lip Balm in Grapefruit that my boyfriend’s mum gave me – I LOVE it because it really does keep my lips hydrated. Also a little Lady Jayne travel brush ($7.69) – I used to have a red one and now I have a blue one. I always carry my Charlotte Tilbury Mascara.”

Night routine.

“I get home and MUST wash my face and moisturise – that’s one thing I am diligent with, taking off my work makeup as soon as I can. >div>

The night is when I put more time into my beauty routine and use additional products. I don’t use SPF and I moisturise with the Dr. LeWinnn’s Eternal Youth Day & Night Cream ($69.99) and add the Eternal Youth Day & Night Serum ($69.99) just before bed so it can do the extra hard work overnight. I’ve also just started using an eye cream – I’m using the Dr. LeWinn’s Eternal Youth Eye Cream ($69.99).

Facials and treatments.

“I don’t usually get facials, although I do see a  woman called Fumi in Bronte and she does something called a Zen facial – it works from the inside out. It sounds really hippie, but she’s incredible. It’s more about the way you feel about yourself and how that radiates through the way you place your face than your standard product-based facial – makeup artist Sarah Tesser put me on to her.”

Wind-down routine.

“I watch a movie on the couch with my boyfriend – I’m a gym/exercise in the morning person, so the nighttime is on the couch. After I’ve showered I put the dogs (my babies) in bed and then always take magnesium before.”

Thank you @viktoriaandwoods for the gorgeous threads. ❤️ them #readyforwinter

“I used to get a lot of cramps and I started taking magnesium for that, I’ve since found out that it’s really good for your mood, good for your muscles generally and great for helping you sleep.”
