Alyssa Milano says she may breastfeed her daughter until she's six.

If you haven’t seen Miley Cyrus’ boobs in the last month, you must have been in hiding. But we bet you haven’t seen one woman breastfeeding despite the fact you’re probably all over social media.

That needs to change.

Alyssa Milano is a huge advocate for normalising breastfeeding. She posts photos of herself breastfeeding constantly and recently shared her anger over having her breast milk confiscated by security at Heathrow airport. (We wrote about it here.)

Now the mother-of-two has defended a woman’s working breasts again.

The 42-year-old spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how ridiculous it is that our society loves sexualised boobs, but that we are disgusted when a mum posts photos of her breasts doing what they are made for. Breastfeeding.

“I think people are more comfortable sexualising breasts, than relating them to what they were made for, which is feeding another human," she told the American TV Show.

Milano posts a lot of breastfeeding photos to her social media accounts, and feels like the response to those are much more negative than the response people give to 'sexy' boob shots.

“Everyone’s fine with [Miley’s] nipples being out, but if I post a picture of me breastfeeding it’s craziness,” she said on ET.

The doting mother went on to say that although it's crazy she doesn't care because she is going to continue to breastfeed and be proud of it.

"I’m going to keep breastfeeding, maybe even until she’s six," Milano said of breastfeeding her one-year-old daughter, Elizabella.

In June this year, Milano used a live broadcasting platform called Periscope to cast a video of herself breastfeeding in real time. (We wrote about it here.)

The tweet Milano sent out when she posted the breastfeeding video.

Milano is a strong advocate for normalising breatsfeeding, and she's being an amazing crusader for mothers everywhere.

So, if she wants to keep breastfeeding her kids until they're six, good on her. You do your thing, Alyssa.

What age did you or would you breastfeed until?
