It’s been a big week forThe Bachelorwinner Alex Nation — her five-year-old son Elijah has FINALLY met her new man, Richie.

But with family highs come family lows, and the 25-year-old seems to have had enough.

In a new interview withOK! Magazine, Alex has claimed her former in-laws were “ignorant” about her situation.

“If they want to be negative about [me], and he’s part of their family, that is simply a reflection of them,” she said.

“They are a little bit ignorant as they obviously don’t know me from a bar of soap.”

Alex’s comments come after the sister of her ex-husband, Joel Porter, took aim at her parenting skills.

“I am so relieved my nephew finally has a loving, attentive, maternal figure at home,” Joel’s sister Kimberly wrote on an image of Alex’s son Elijah posing with Joel’s new partner.

“That kid has a fiercely protective family, and someone insincere would never get our tick of approval (sic),” she added, hinting that Richie wouldn’t make the cut when it comes to those who ‘deserve’ to be in Elijah’s life.

Despite Kimberly’s comments being made on a post from Joel’s new girlfriend, Ashy, she has made it clear to her followers that she is not trying to take Alex’s place as Elijah’s mum.

“Elijah already has a mum that loves him and he loves her!” she wrote on Instagram.

“My main priority is to love and protect him, and to give him another positive role model in his life.”

Here’s hoping there is smooth sailing ahead for Alex, Richie, Elijah and all the family as they enter this exciting new chapter.
