The Spill: Friday's best entertainment and gossip news.

1. “I just went on a d*ck spree.” Abbie Chatfield shares how she got over Matt Agnew.

2019 has been a big year for 23-year-old Abbie Chatfield. She faced an unfair national slut-shaming attack for allegedly appearing too sexual while competing for Matt Agnew’s heart on The Bachelor, before spending 27 hours in transit from Sydney to Johannesburg, South Africa, only to have Matt declare his love to Chelsie McLeod.

In a candid interview with Punkee, the Brisbane-local bluntly shared the tried-and-true method of how she got over her heartbreak.

“I just went on a d**k spree,” she said.

“I slept with a few British people, so they wouldn’t know who I was. And my name was Annabel because it had to be an A-name because of my A-necklace.”

And honestly, good for you girl.

The only way I can describe this moment is complete and utter shock. I was numb. I couldn’t and didn’t want to feel anything. I had felt for weeks that what Matt and I had was real and I trusted him wholeheartedly when he told me how he felt about me. From Hometowns, I forgot the cameras were there. It didn’t feel like we were filming a show at all, it felt like we had this real relationship built in a little bubble of “The Bachelor” and we would be out soon and able to live a normal life. Hearing Matt say “my heart is with someone else” reminded me that we were filming and that Matt had to make a difficult decision, and he did not see in me what I saw in him. I felt silly for ever imagining Matt would love me. It was like emotional whiplash. I was so confused and it felt like I was in a dystopian reality. The second the cameras turned off, I sobbed. I screamed. I couldn’t breathe. I didn’t think think this would be how we would end. I spent weeks crying about this relationship that had almost no closure. I still haven’t fully healed from my relationship with Matt, but I know he and the gorgeous woman he is with are happy, and that’s all that matters. #thebachelorau

Despite this, the former property analyst also touched on how and why it took her months to get emotional closure. Three months after filming, she realised that she still had “feelings” for Matt.

“I was crying about it again and it all kinda came back ’til maybe two weeks after the finale aired,” she said.

“You leave the rock in Africa you got f**kin’ dumped on and then you’re like I don’t talk to you ever again.”

When looking at the intense hate she received from some viewers after the season, Abbie said it came down to the fact that she was portrayed as the confident “playboy,” while Chelsie was reduced to this “insecure meek little thing”. In actual fact, neither representation was accurate.

“I have blonde, curly hair with big tits and blue eyes, and I laugh at shit, I laugh at dumb things, I make sexual comments, and I’m like a playboy in their mind. They see me as the high school bitch who stole their boyfriend,” she said.

“How can you be a ‘man stealer’ in the situation where the point of this show is to make the man love you?”

2. The ‘excruciating’ Love Actually scene that was absolute hell for Hugh Grant.

Name a more iconic scene in Love Actually than Hugh Grant, as the UK Prime Minister, dancing through the rooms of 10 Downing Street.

But while Grant looks footloose and fancy-free on screen boogieing to Pointer Sisters’ ‘Jump (For My Love)’, it wasn’t the case behind the scenes.

In the 59-year-old’s BBC career retrospective, Hugh Grant: A Life on Screen, Grant called the filming of the scene “absolute hell”.

“I thought, ‘That’s going to be excruciating, and it has the power to be the most excruciating scene ever committed to celluloid,’” he said, in a preview clip shared with Variety.

His co-star Colin Firth joked that Grant “made a terrible fuss” filming the scene, while director Richard Curtis cheekily remarked that the actor should have been well-versed with the dance sequence thanks to his “dirty behaviour in discos across London” which made him “quite good at dancing”. Harsh but fair.

As they say, sometimes you need to suffer for your art and in this case, Grant’s angst most definitely paid off.

3. Your very first look at ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ sequel is here and um, that’s not Peter.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is back for a sequel and honestly, we couldn’t be more excited.

But, ahem, there is a problem.

From what we can see from some sneak peek images, Lara is getting close with someone that is not Peter.

This morning, Entertainment Weekly share images from the sequel, To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.

It shows Lara getting cosy with someone by the name of John Ambrose. He appeared at the end of the first film, played by Jordan Burtchett. However, in the sequel, he has been recast and will be played by Disney alum, Jordan Fisher.

The synopsis of the film suggests there will be a love triangle between Lara, Peter and John.

Although we secretly hope she ends up with fan-fave Peter, we can’t wait to see how the story plays out when it hits Netflix on February 12.

4. Kendell Jenner’s impression of Kylie is honestly savage… and we love it.

Kendall Jenner is SO savage.

First, she ranked her siblings on their parenting skills and then she mocked younger sister, Kylie Jenner.

During a preview for the upcoming Keeping Up With The Kardashians finale, Kendall is shown imitating her sister, trying on one of her many colourful wigs and overlining her lips with a Kylie Cosmetics lip kit.

While smearing the red lipstick across her mouth, Kendall joked, “Oh my god, it feels amazing on my skin.”

Later at lunch, Kendall Facetimed her sister while wearing the wig and Kylie replied in shock, “Oh my god.”

Kendall responded: “I’m Kylie.”

Kylie then sweetly said: “You look cute as Kylie.”

Ahh, sisters.

5. A near-death experience, the military and a ‘secret’ son: The peculiar life of Adam Driver.

If you’re watching Netflix’s Marriage Story, then you’re probably also a bit in love with Adam Driver. While you might be familiar with the 36-year-old’s work on Girls and BlacKkKlansman, the actor has definitely led an unconventional life.

When Adam Driver was 19, the direction of the wind saved his life.

He was a lance corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, based at California’s Camp Pendleton, when a drill exercise went wrong. A mixup with coordinates saw a white phosphorus explosion, used to simulate a mortar attack, accidentally targeted towards his unit.

Were it not for the wind, the deadly chemical would have rained down upon them, burning them to the bone.

From his military career, religious upbringing and 'secret' child, we round up everything you need to about the leading man in our earlier post here.
