This year's Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were unlike any other.

Namely, it's the first time the awards took place under its rebrand. The SAG Awards are no more; it's the 2026 Actor Awards now.

It's also the first time in the SAG ceremony's history that The Actor Awards has an official red carpet dress code, set and executed in partnership with US fashion publisher ELLE.

According to the publication, the 'Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the '20s and '30s' theme "draws inspiration from an era defined by cinematic elegance and bold expression."

You've no doubt seen a bunch of The Actor Awards red carpet fashion moments on your social feeds, but there are a handful of looks my fashion and beauty editor brain can't stop thinking about.

2026 Actor Award red carpet honourable mentions.

Let's take a quick look at some red carpet looks that, in my opinion, deserve your attention.

Yerin Ha.

Dove Cameron.

Claire Danes.

Kirsten Dunst (and Jesse Plemons).

Connor Storrie.

Megan Stalter.

Jessie Buckley.

Gwyneth Paltrow.

Chase Sui Wonders.

Hannah Einbinder.

The Actor Awards red carpet standouts.

In no particular order, these are the looks taking up real estate in my mind right now.

Sarah Pidgeon.

I am deeply obsessed with Sarah Pidgeon's Actor Awards red carpet debut.

The Balenciaga dusty-pink double balloon maxi dress shouldn't work… I'm not convinced it would on any other woman. But on Sarah paired with the tousled low ponytail and ultra minimal makeup, it's divine.

I love that she didn't wear her hair down a la Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, either!

Demi Moore.

Wow. Every detail of Demi Moore's Schiaparelli Couture look was incredible.

It's everything you want from a Hollywood movie star. The architectural black column gown was bold in structure and texture, paired with a sleek beauty look and fine jewels that, from some angles, looked to be a part of the dress. And of course, the white tulle in the back? Again, wow.

Fashion aside, I can't deny the reason this look is stuck in my mind also has something to do with the size of the body wearing the dress.

We aren't going to get to the bottom of the debate around whether we can talk about women's bodies in this article, but it had to be said.

Wunmi Mosaku.

I audibly gasped when I first saw Wunmi Mosaku pop up on my screen.

Where others went for shades of black, pastels and shimmering metallics, Wunmi opted for the most bold shade of tomato fire engine red, and she looked out of this world.

Her Louis Vuitton gown was a stunning statement with understated elegance, and just the right amount of glitz and drama the occasion calls for.

Immaculate styling and beauty execution. No notes.

Emma Stone.

More than any other celeb, I was waiting for Emma to hit the red carpet. From the butter yellow two-piece Golden Globes look to the impeccable Nina Park signature makeup execution, I've loved every single one of her red carpet appearances this awards season.

But as our contributing fashion editor and Nothing to Wear podcast co-host Tamara Holland always says, you can usually tell if a celebrity is feeling their red carpet fit by the look on their face.

To me, Emma's eyes say she's not 100 per cent sure about her custom Louis Vuitton lilac chiffon spaghetti strap slip dress and matching 90s-coded cardigan.

I have to say, neither am I. The colour, though? Obsessed. Bury me in this exact shade of purple.

Teyana Taylor.

Gosh there is so much to unpack here.

Teyana Taylor has pushed fashion boundaries with every red carpet appearance, and her surrealist strapless Thom Browne strapless gown — nay, work of art — is no exception.

Obviously, you've got the bodice, which depicts a naked woman's body as if it's been painted on (maybe it was?!?!) in abstract swirls of greys, tans and off whites. There's also an off-the-shoulder sleeve, a silver sequined skirt and train, and ribbons trailing off the back.

And then her five-year-old daughter, Rue Rose Taylor Shumpert, goes and adjusts the bottom of the dress for mummy so it looks good in photos? It's the sweetest, most surreal red carpet moment of the night.

Chase Infiniti.

OK Ib know I said five looks but I simply must add one more. Chase Infiniti in custom Louis Vuitton took my breath away.

The high-neck, long-sleeve Louis Vuitton gown with a matching crystal cap and jewellery felt old Hollywood glamour and modern at the same time; I couldn't stop looking at the scalloped sleeves and mermaid hem.

Most of all, I loved how happy and excited she looked on the red carpet. She stood tall, took up space, and walked like a woman who feels incredible in her outfit and confident in knowing there's nowhere else she was meant to be.
