Paula Joye's Wrap Up: 2015 Oscars best-dressed list.

100 colours.
Mamamia is proud to partner with Dove Invisible Dry for this year’s Red Carpet coverage. We are both committed to celebrating women, fashion, and the absence of white marks on their beautiful dresses.

The Oscars have been and gone for another year – but let’s recap the very best looks from the red carpet.

The 87th Academy Awards were held in Los Angeles today with Neil Patrick Harris in charge of the show tunes.

On the carpet, there was more red than a tomato convention, lots of pearls and a surprising lack of mermaid tails and navy.

Red lips, natural make-up and lots of long bobs…here’s a look at the best of 2015.

1. Yum & Yummer.

This was your best-ever red carpet moment Naomi Watts. The side of your Calvin Klein dress is so sexy it could shut down a city.

Also loved Emma Stone in pistachio Elie Saab. The beading, the fall, the sleeve… I want to get married again wearing this dress. And then I want to wear Gwyneth’s pale pink Ralph & Russo to the reception.

Special mention to Cate Blanchett. I didn’t love the necklace but I adored the frayed simplicity of this Maison Margiela gown. It was even better from the back. And look at her skin. And her smile lines.

Beautiful.

2. Snap!

Rosamund Pike in Givenchy and Behati Prinsloo in Armani Prive looked like ruby red twins.

Seriously. Squint and it’s the same person.

3. She’s Not Wearing Black.

Good for you Jenny Aniston – you look lovely. Have you been taking style lessons from Kate Hudson? You look like you’ve been been poured into this Versace like vintage single malt scotch into an Hermes tumbler.

The body looks phenomenal – so does the darker, messier hair. You’ve just taken girl next door to another level.

4. The Pearlies.

It’s not a really a red carpet without a good sprinkle of bling. This year pearls were sprayed over gowns like rice at wedding.

There was: Felicity Jones in eggshell grey embellishment from Alexander McQueen, Lupita Nyong’o carrying 6000 pearls from Calvin Klein and Julianne Moore in this-is-what-a-winner looks like custom Chanel.

5. Margot The Magnificent.

This outfit makes me want to dance and eat chocolate. Margot Robbie looks breataking in this sexy, black Saint Laurent.

Everything is perfection: the single statement necklace, the sheer, bell sleeve, the fact you can’t see a distracting shoe, the simple bob, the red lip… She is riffing on Michelle Pfieffer in Scarface which is pretty much the best fashion compliment any women can receive. And she’s Ours.

6. Methinks There Might Have Been A Memo.

Attention All E! Staff. Red carpet coverage for this years Oscars must be conducted whilst wearing some form of lace. With/or without sheer panelling.

Lace appliqué is also acceptable. Please note: male staffers will not be expected to wear a lace gown.

7. You Nailed It Gurl!

Reese Witherspoon rounded out her Award season wardrobe with in this killer gown from Tom Ford.

It ticks the Oscar triumviarte:

a) fits like glove.

b) photographs like a dream

c) she wears the dress not the other war around.

8. Mums & Daughers.

Loved seeing mothers and daughter teams on the carpet.

Patricia Arquette wearing a dress designed by her best friends Rosetta Getty was accompanied by her 11 year old daughter Harlow. And Melanie Griffith looked banging in black next to her beautiful Saint Laurent clad daughter Dakota/Anastasia Steele. Gene pool is strong no?!

9. Best Back.

This dress has received criticism but I think it’s perfect. It’s the 1920’s bustle back that brings The Gasp. This is a dress that will ultimately be remembered as an Oscar classic. BTW: Marion Collitade saying Christian Dior Couture is poetry. I’d like to put it on an MP3 loop and make it my ring tone.

The very best moments from this year’s Oscars ceremony.

10. Pretty In Pink.

This is what my face would look like if I was going to the Oscars.

Oprah is the Queen of keeping it authentic and this dress, her hair and that smile are a winning combination.

And that is why we love her.

11. Hell Yes!

Jennifer Hudson you look extraordinary.

Not too much, not too little…just right.

12. And Then There Was Gaga.

Lady Gaga looks like the Snow Queen from Narnia.

This dress is the first time Azzedine Alia has made a custom gown.

It took 25 people ten weeks to make it.

But what I really want to know is whether she borrowed those gloves from Amal?

Dove Invisible Dry has been proven to leave no white marks on 100 colours. It glides on clear for 48-hour odour and wetness protection and contains ¼ moisturising cream to help nourish your skin.
