It’s that time of year again.

Yep, the time of year when a quick trip to the supermarket for a litre of milk ends in you holding your ears and screaming ‘IT’S BARELY DECEMBER STOP THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!’ in the middle of the aisles.

Oh, and it’s also the time of year when Instagram releases the list of the most liked posts of 2017.

It’s time to look back at the year that was for our favourite celebs except… well except the list of top 10 posts were shared by just three different celebrities.

That’s… diverse. And one celebrity made up no less thanhalfof the top ten posts.

Sadly, that also means this delightful post I shared on October 21 didn’t make the cut, despite being made up of three of the Internet’s most favourite things: puppers, costumes and puppers wearing costumes.

It’s a travesty, really. Perhaps next year will be my year…

As for 2017, it seems Selena Gomez – who is the most followed person on the platform with over 130 million fans – is the people’s choice when it comes to the best posts 2017. The five of her posts that made up the top 10 racked up a massive 40.2 million likes.

They were also made up of some of her most loved-up Instagram moments with The Weeknd, which is super awkward considering the pair split a month ago.

But it was Queen Bey who took out the top spot on the list thanks to the pregnancy announcement that sent the world into a spin on February 1.

You know, the one where she revealed that Blue Ivy was about to become a big sister to TWINS?

The only other celebrity to make the list was football star Cristiano Ronaldo, who decided that 2017 was the year to welcome not one, not two, but THREE new babies into his family.

In case you feel the need to add a few more ‘likes’ to these popular posts, here’s the list in full. And you’ll notice they have two big things in common: celebrity babies and Selena Gomez. So… not exactly easy for us regular peeps to pull off.
