How do you improve on something wonderful? By smooshing it together with something equally as wonderful, obviously.

Like a cronut (that’s a donut plus a croissant for the uninitiated) or those nutella-flavoured milkshakes you drink through a straw threaded through, um, a donut (how good are donuts though?).

This leads me to my next question, how can you improve on the perfection that is Meryl “best actress of her generation” Streep?

By putting her on a pizza. Duh.

@TASTEOFSTREEP HAS ARRIVED !!!! #meryl #merylstreep #oscar #foodie #hungry #brunch #food #queen #mamamia #nyc #sunday #pizza

The ‘Taste of Meryl’ Instagram account is the latest accolade for the three-time Oscar winner to add to her ever-growing list of achievements.

She’s played Margaret Thatcher, Emmeline Pankhurst, the incomparable Mrs Fox in Fantastic Mr Fox and now she’s appearing on a social media account near you, hilariously merged with your favourite foods.

She looks a million bucks on top of avocado toast (seriously though, those things cost a million bucks these days) and saucy as in a box of chippies.

We asked the creator of the site how she came up with the GENIUS  idea of meshing Meryl with tasty treats. Here’s what she had to say:

And her inspiration? Off all the actresses in the world, why Meryl?

Holy cannoli. Meryl is fabulous. And so is this Instagram.

Take a look.

Hot dog! This account is good.

"Margaret Hatcher".

Aubergine dream.

Garlic hair, don't care.

The devil wears ricotta.

All buttered up.

It'snot easy being green.

This one was captioned "Monday Blues".

Saucy as.

Appealing to an international audience.

How can you improve on the breakfast perfection that is avocado on toast? Meryl Streep.

Personal fave.

Want more Meryl? Here she is trying to pash Mark Ruffalo for some reason…
