The cast of Sister, Sister: Where are they now?

Growing up in the 90s wouldn’t have been the same without watching Sister, Sister and hearing that iconic theme song.

The US sitcom about identical twins who were separated and adopted at birth only to accidentally reunite fourteen years later at a shopping mall (of course) was a 90s classic.

With rumours it is about to be revived what better to time to find out what the cast have been up to this past 20 years.

Tamera Campbell (Tamera Mowry-Housely)

Tamera Mowry-Housely, one half of the identical twins, played Tamera Campbell on Sister, Sister, the impulsive, Coolio-loving sister.

Since the show wrapped up Tamera has acted in many films including Seventeen Again and The Hot Chick.

She married her boyfriend of six years, Adam Housely in 2012 and they have two children together.

She currently co-hosts The Real, a US talk show which has been nominated for a swag of Daytime Emmy Awards.

Tia Landry (Tia Mowry-Hardict)

Tia Mowry-Hardict, the younger of the twins (by two minutes) played Tia Landry, the mature and responsible sister on show.

Since then she has acted alongside her sister in Hot Chicks but has more recently become a TV chef, cooking on her own show, Tia Mowry at Home and has developed her own cookbook.

The married mum of two is currently starring in the Netflix comedy, Family Reunion.

Ray Campbell (Tim Reid)

Tim Reid played Ray Campbell, Tamera’s adoptive father and patriarch of the show.

Since then he has appeared in That 70’s Show and the recent TV adaption of Limitless.

Reid founded and is currently president of Legacy Media Institute, a non-profit organisation to assist people within the entertainment media industry.

Lisa Landry (Jackee Harry)

Jackee Harry is the first African American to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy series for her work as Lisa Landry in Sister, Sister.

Harry has appeared in various television roles since then including: 2 Broke Girls, Baby Daddy, American Dad, Instant Mom and as a regular on the show Everybody Hates Chris. Harry also regularly performs in theatre productions, recently performing to sold out audiences in the US stage play The Cleanup Woman.

Performing the role of Tia’s boyfriend, Tyreke Scott in the last two seasons of Sister, Sister, Lee also had roles in Moesha and Guess Who.

After Sister, Sister, Lee was cast in smaller roles until he featured as Jamal Woodson in the Black Entertainment Television (BET) romantic comedy show, Let’s Stay Together from 2011-2014.

After this he starred in the Le Bron James produced US drama series, Survivor’s Remorse. The show depicted the journey of a professional basketball player who moves his family to a different city when joining a new team.

He has been married to wife, Sheena, since 2010 and they have two children.

Jordan Bennett (Deon Richmond)

Deon Richmond played the role of Jordan Bennett, Tamera’s boyfriend on Sister, Sister.

Since then Richmond has had smaller roles in Scream 3, Not Another Teen Movie and National Lampoon’s Van Widler. He also had various television roles including the 2006 sitcom, Teachers.

 Roger Evans (Marques Houston)

Houston played the character, Roger Evans who was the nerdy and persistently annoying neighbour of Tia and Tamera on Sister, Sister. He decided to leave the show before the series ended due to his mother’s battle with lymphoma to which she subsequently lost her life.

His acting career since the show has included various television and film roles including You Got Served and the film adaption of Fat Albert.

Houston has also pursued a music career, featuring in R&B group Immature/IMx from 1990 until 2001 when he decided to pursue a solo career. He featured on 50 Cent’s remix to Candy Shop and also appeared in some Destiny’s Child music videos.
