"I'm absolutely heartbroken." Sasha Mielczarek pens message to Sam Frost after their breakup.

Sasha Mielczarek has penned an emotional post about his breakup from The Bachelorettes Sam Frost.

“After 18 months together, I can confirm that Sam and myself have come to a mutual decision to part ways,” the construction worker wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

“I respect Sam wholeheartedly and cherish our new found friendship. It is important to stress that there is no bitterness or scandal however the distance has been challenging at times. This is a very difficult time for the two of us and to be honest I’m absolutely heartbroken!

“Sammy, I think you are absolutely amazing, beautiful in every way and I wish you all the best in the future. I will be listening to your fantastic radio show and look forward to you killing the ratings in 2017,” he continued, adding that “time heals all wounds”.

The pair, who have been together for 18 months since the Channel 10 marquee show aired, are believed to have split before Christmas, and shared the news with loved ones before issuing a joint statement to the media.

“Sam Frost and Sasha Mielczarek have come to a mutual decision to end their relationship,” the statement from IMG manager Georgina Harrop reads.

“It is important to stress that there is no bitterness or scandal, they have just come to the realisation that the best way forward is to separate.”

The document continued: “they wholeheartedly respect and cherish the friendship they have for one another which will continue moving forward.

“They wish to thank everyone for their love and support over the past 18 months.”

The reported reason for the break up is distance, which saw the duo drift apart as they pursued different career ambitions. While Frost resides in Sydney to do her 2DayFM radio breakfast show alongside Rove McManus, Mielczarek works in project management for Lend Lease in Huskisson.
