Guys – GUYS – there’s a new OFFICIAL portrait of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (last time people were angry I said ‘Prince William and Kate‘, so I have learned my lesson) and it’s wonderful and lovely and all of the things.
Of course, we’d expect nothing less from these two who are so perfect they’re probably secretly hybrids of humans and angels.
News of the shiny new snap broke when a photographer who’s worked with the royals in the past, Paul Ratcliffe, tweeted a thank you card from the couple. If anyone knows about good royal photography, it’s him, given he’s taken stills of everyone from Princess Diana to Sarah, Duchess of York and, yes, the Queen.
Anyway back to the photo – Kate’s royal hair is ever so royally on point, and Will looks Dapper with a capital ‘D’ in his navy suit and blue tie.
You see, this all happened because Paul was a top bloke who decided to send a congratulatory letter to William and Kate on their fifth wedding anniversary. And we bet he’s glad he did, given their response was the MOST BRITISH THING IN THE HISTORY OF BRITAIN.
If you don’t have superhuman vision, that reads:
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were so touched that you took the trouble to write as you did on the occasion of their 5th Wedding Anniversary.
It really was most thoughtful of you and Their Royal Highnesses send you their warmest thanks and best wishes.”
Gah. British and loveliness overload.
